A few years ago, if you had asked me where I saw my future, I probably would have described a fairly conventional life. Work, responsibilities, occasional vacations, and the hope that someday there would be enough time and freedom to explore the world.

Then I visited Thailand.

• What if there is more than one way to live?
• How much money do I actually need to be happy?
• Where do I truly want to build a life?
• How much of what I consider “normal” is simply what I’m used to?

Those questions eventually led me here.

Why I Started This Blog

This blog is a record of a journey that is still unfolding.

My husband and I are exploring the possibility of building a life abroad, and I’m documenting the process as honestly as possible. That means sharing both the exciting parts and the challenging ones.

You’ll find posts about:

• Researching countries and visas
• Preparing for an international move
• Travel experiences and adventures
• The realities of finances and relocation
• The psychological side of leaving familiar routines behind
• Building a new life in an unfamiliar place

Rather than presenting myself as an expert, I hope to share what I’m learning along the way.

I believe travel can be more than a vacation.

Sometimes it challenges our assumptions. Sometimes it changes our priorities. Sometimes it helps us imagine possibilities we never considered before.

This blog is about that process.

It’s about exploring what happens when you begin questioning the life you inherited and start intentionally creating the life you want.

I don’t know exactly where this journey will lead. I don’t know which country we’ll eventually call home. What I do know is that one trip opened a door I can no longer ignore.
